TERMS & CONDITIONS
Bookings must be made at least twelve hours before the required pick-up time.
You can change, amend or cancel your booking at any time up to twelve hours before the journey
start time.
If you need an urgent or emergency service, please call us on our number showing at contacts. We
will do our best to arrange it for you, but can make no guarantee that a driver and vehicle will be
available at short notice.
A child, regardless of age, counts as one passenger.
This website is operated by Edinburgh Airport Transfers Ltd. The terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to
Registered Independent Private Hire Drivers.
This document sets out the terms of use for our transportation and related services, the website
edinburghairporttransfer.co.uk (“website”), any Edinburgh Airport Taxi Transfers application
(“App”), which together are subsequently referred to as “Services”. The term “you” “your” or the
“Client” refers to any user of our Services such as a passenger, customer, visitor, guest, user,
registered user or account holder.
By using our Edinburgh Airport Taxi Transfer Services, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by
the following terms and conditions.
Your statutory rights are not affected by these terms and conditions.

CONDITIONS OF USE
Under the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) it is required you give us
permission to contact you. Your permission will be deemed to have been given if you voluntarily
provide us with any contact information (telephone number, email address, etc) needed to respond
to your enquiry or to confirm or provide your requested Services.
You warrant that any information you provide to us is true, accurate and complete and that
provision of such information to us will not breach any other person’s privacy.
When using our Services, you agree to comply with all applicable laws, rules and regulations and you
warrant that you will not use our Services for any fraudulent or unlawful purpose.
You will refrain from doing anything which we reasonably believe to be disreputable or capable of
damaging our reputation.

BOOKINGS
Bookings must be made at least twelve hours before the required pick-up time.
You can change, amend or cancel your booking at any time up to twelve hours before the journey
start time. Any amendment must be made via an email or by telephone to us to which you will
receive an email confirming the amendment. Amendments must not be made with your driver.

available at short notice.
Your taxi booking will be treated as ‘Booking Request’ until you receive a booking confirmation from
us.
Edinburgh Airport Transfers Ltd does not accept any responsibility for missed flights for whatever
reason i.e. traffic delays, accidents, breakdowns, severe weather conditions or any unforeseen
circumstances. We advise passengers to plan to arrive at the airport 2 hours prior to flight departure
to allow for possible unpredicted delays en route to the airport.

We will endeavour to ensure the vehicle(s) arrive at the time and place requested. We cannot,
however, accept responsibility for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, such as
mechanical failure, traffic jams, traffic accidents or extreme weather conditions. Nor do we accept
responsibility for any consequential loss.
No responsibilities for costs are to be refunded to any passengers who do not contact and meet their
driver and take alternative transport.
For passenger safety Taxi Licensing regulations require all luggage to be securely fastened in the
boot of the vehicle, please ensure to take this into account when choosing a vehicle.
We do not accept any responsibility in any way if the passenger/luggage requirements exceed the
capacity of the vehicle booked. If you are unsure about the capacity of the vehicle booked, please
contact our team immediately, and we’ll advise the vehicle which is the most suitable for your
needs.
We reserve the right to refuse carriage of animals (other than guide dogs) which were not agreed at
the point of booking. All animals (except guide dogs) must be secured in a suitable transport
box/crate. Edinburgh Airport Transfers Ltd accepts no responsibility for costs incurred from a failure
to abide by these terms.
The exact route of your journey is down to the driver’s discretion on the day of travel, alternate
routes may be requested and will be assessed by the driver on a case by case basis.
In case your flight has any serious delays, please inform us as soon as possible.
Edinburgh Airport Transfers Ltd use their own transport wherever possible, but also use third party
companies where appropriate.
We reserve the right to provide an upgraded car type from the original selected if your chosen
vehicle is unavailable.
We also reserve the right to refuse entry to our vehicles to anyone who is thought to be under the
influence of alcohol or drugs and/or whose behaviour poses a threat to the safety of the driver, the
vehicle or other passengers within the vehicle. We further reserve the right to terminate any journey
due to unreasonable or improper behaviour by any passenger. If special cleaning of any vehicle is
required because it has been left in an unreasonable state by a passenger/client, we reserve the
right to charge the cost of cleaning to the Client.


POLICIES & NOTICES


Waiting Time
On journeys when picking up passengers at the Edinburgh Airport, as standard, we allow all
passengers 1 hour maximum from the time the flight actually lands to meet with their driver. After
this, waiting time is charged, regardless of reason, at £1 for every 3 minutes commenced; waiting
time charge is payable for your driver before the start of your journey.
Edinburgh Airport Transfers Ltd will assume you wish for a ‘standard’ collection unless otherwise
selected during the process of online booking or informed in writing in advance of the journey by
email to sales@edinburghairporttransfer.co.uk
Waiting time for all other journeys will be charged at £1 for every 3 minutes commenced, either
from the scheduled collection time or for any stop en-route.


Amendments
Any amendment must be made via an email or by telephone to us to which you will receive an email
confirming the amendment. Amendments must not be made with your driver.

Re-Booking
All bookings must be made through our office either via the website, telephone or e-mail. In this way
confirmations are sent out and the journey is insured.


Cancellations
Edinburgh Airport Transfers Ltd will accept any cancellation as long as 12 hours notice is provided.
There will be a £5 or 10% (whichever is higher) administration charge per journey. All cancellations
must be made via an email to which you will receive confirmation by us.
Refunds will not be issued in the following circumstances:
– No refund is made if the passenger does not show up for pre-paid journeys.
– No refund is made for cancellation of a booking with less than 12 hours notice provided or
afterwards.
– All other circumstances where a refund may be possible should be addressed directly with
Edinburgh Airport Transfers Ltd’s sales team.
Complaints
Any complaints regarding service should be raised in writing with our office, preferably by reply to
your confirmation email. All complaints must be submitted within 30 days of the event giving rise to
the complaint.
Please note that some calls may be recorded for quality and training purposes.


JURISDICTION
This Agreement shall be construed in accordance with UK law and you and Edinburgh Airport
Transfers each agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UK Courts in respect of any
dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with this Agreement.
You agree to compensate and defend us fully against any claims or legal proceedings brought against
us by any other person as a result of your breach of these Terms & Conditions.
